The Artist Fund
Sixty percent of every membership payment, after tax, is committed to filmmakers the moment it lands. The ledger behind these figures is append-only: corrections are new entries with a written reason, never edits.
Committed to filmmakers
$0
60% of membership revenue received to date.
Paid out
$0
Money that has actually reached a filmmaker.
Available to award
$0
Committed, plus corrections, minus what has been paid.
Membership revenue
$0
Total received, net of tax, across all memberships.
No membership money has been received yet, so the fund is empty. As soon as the first payment lands, sixty percent of it appears here and stays here until it is paid to a filmmaker.
Month by month
Monthly figures appear once the fund starts moving.
Awards paid
Nothing has been paid out yet. Every award will be listed here with its amount and date, linked to the cycle that produced it.
How the fund works
Membership is the only money in the system. When a payment clears, sixty percent of it — calculated after tax, on the amount actually received — is committed to the Artist Fund in the same moment. That commitment is recorded before anyone decides who will receive it.
Awards are paid from the committed balance. Entry is free, voting is free, and no purchase is ever required to enter or to win. Membership buys personal tools, not standing in the program.
If a figure here is ever wrong, it is corrected with a new signed entry and a written reason. Nothing in the ledger can be edited or deleted, including by us.
