Copyright and Removal

Infinite Film Fest stores no video. For each film we keep a link to the filmmaker’s YouTube or Vimeo page and the descriptive information those providers publicly return — title, thumbnail, duration, channel name — plus credits and a synopsis supplied at submission.

This matters for removals: taking the film down or making it private at the provider instantly stops it playing here, and our health sweep retires the entry within hours. That is the fastest route, and it is entirely in your hands.

If you want the entry itself gone from the program — the film page, the queue, the credits — send a notice through the report form choosing “Copyright or removal request”, and include:

• The address of the film page on this site.
• Identification of the work you say is infringed, and your relationship to it.
• Your name and an email address we can reply to.
• A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the rights holder or the law.
• A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.

We act on complete notices promptly, usually by removing the entry from the queue first and reviewing after.

No formal notice is needed. If it is your film, say so and it comes out — including a Staff Recommends entry a programmer added without you asking. We do not argue about it and we do not require a reason.

Reply to the notice we send and tell us why the entry should stand, with your contact details. A programmer will review, and we will restore the entry if the objection holds.

Accounts that repeatedly submit work they have no right to present are closed, and their entries removed from the program.
